A minimalist home to frame the mountain and capture sun and space

Winner of Waikato/BOP NZIA 2023 award this is a 45m2 bespoke urban home based on my memories of a favourite place - Arthurs Pass. I wanted to create lux minimalism with simple materials.

This home is designed with a completely private façade opening up to a light and 270 degree view filled oasis. A real city retreat.

This home was designed to make the most of the surrounding landscape. There is a 42m long wall facing the view so all rooms get fantastic views. It is a full time luxury escape - with the bar as well used centrepiece.

This NZIA BOP/Waikato award winning 105m2 home was designed to feel as if one lives in a bach and 40m2 of decks help extend this feel into its natural surrounds. Art is integrated into the architecture with a mural by Flox leading to a concealed entry.

This serene lake house is intended to invoke a sense of calm from the outside world. “I’ve arrived“ and create a strong sense of place connection, as well as a space to have relaxed bach family living.
